GT Gets Big Wins In Bakersfield!

May 5th 2013 - Members of the GT BMX Factory Race Team made their way out to Bakersfield California for annual running of the USABMX U.S. Nationals. The team continued their winning ways with the skeleton crew of amateur team riders in attendance taking wins during the weekend!

Jack “The Cannonball” Kelly dominated the 9-10 Open and 10 Expert classes on both days on his GT Speed Series Expert keeping him in the lead for the National Age Group title as well as in the hunt for the national overall title.

2012 USAC Junior National Champion Nick Kohler piloted his GT Speed Series Pro XL to a hard fought win in the 17-18 Expert class on Saturday. The ever-improving Jordan “The Missile” Miranda took on what is arguable the toughest amateur class on the circuit and took home the top of the podium honors in 19-27 Expert on Sunday aboard the new GT Speed Carbon Pro XXL.

The team now will be preparing for the upcoming USAC National Championships. The Junior and Elite Women and Men will gate up on the “big hill” in Chula Vista California May 18th to battle for the rights to run the stars-and-stripes on their sleeve for the next year. The amateurs will be batting it out for their national champion honors in Nashville Tennessee on May June 1st.

Check back to see who comes back with bragging rights and the prestigious titles!

Update With Dillewaard

Hey guys,

I've been back in the states now for about 3 weeks. I went to see my knee Doc about 2 weeks ago and he gave me the ok to start cruising around on my BMX. Only taking it easy though! So stoked to be back riding again, 6 months is a mission to get through and I've missed it a lot! Now its time to start getting my skills back while still building the strength in my knee that I lost.

I have a few trips planned for the summer but not for a few months. I just want to get stronger and come back swinging!
Heres a few pics of the last couple weeks. I've moved into Heath Pinters place so having trails in the back yard is sick!
Cheers

Dave
